Flowers: Flowers in inflorescence a stalked panicle, flowers–bearing parts ± sharply bent relative to stalk, flower clusters (cymes) free, in pairs or umbels; bracts small, overlapping. Flowers bisexual (perfect), radially symmetrical. Sepals free. Petals free. Stamens 6, equal, all fertile; filaments bearded. Ovary superior, 3-carpellate; 3-celled.

Fruit: Capsules 3-valved; 3-locular and dehiscient.
